PUBLIC FORUM FOR ALPHARETTA CANDIDATES SEEKING MAYORAL AND CITY COUNCIL POSITIONS

Bike Alpharetta, Inc., a non-profit community organization, will host an open forum on Thursday, April 19, for Alpharetta residents to interact with candidates running for two City Council posts and and the office of Mayor. A special election will be held in Alpharetta on May 22 to fill these three city offices.

The forum is free and will take place at Alpharetta City Hall, located at 2 Park Plaza in Alpharetta. The four city council candidates will take part in a question-and-answer session from 7-7:45 p.m., with the two mayoral candidates participating from 8-8:45 p.m.

All six candidates have committed to attend:

  • City Council Post 3 candidates – Katie Harding and Karen Richard
  • City Council Post 4 candidates – John Hipes and Clifford Martin
  • Mayoral candidates – Jim Gilvin and Chris Owens

Questions for the candidates may be submitted in advance via email to Bike Alpharetta, bikealpharetta@gmail.com, or by posting to the organization’s Facebook event page. Each of the two Q&A sessions will be limited to 45 minutes. Bike Alpharetta does not endorse any political candidates.
