The annual Bikes For Kids program concluded December 9, 2023 to support North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC). Bike Alpharetta, along with more than 170 volunteers and community partners collected, repaired and prepped hundreds of new and previously-loved bikes and trikes in ONE DAY, with 425 going to NFCC’s Toyland for families in need during the holidays. A total of 380 new helmets were provided as well.
Back in 2007, the Mullenbach family started the program with 65 bicycles collected in their Johns Creek neighborhood. Since then, Bikes For Kids has provided 5,138 bicycles, tricycles and scooters, as well as 2,270 new youth helmets, all free of charge to NFCC.
Have a bicycle, or two, to donate for 2024? You can donate them to them to the NFCC Thrift Shop, 11270 Elkins Road, Roswell, GA 30076. Or just hold any items until after Labor Day, as we will restart the seasonal program in the fall (check Facebook for updates).
