We are looking for previously-loved, gently-used youth bicycles and tricycles to clean/repair for our Bikes For Kids program! Our elves (volunteers) will make the bikes/trikes Santa Ready on Dec. 7 for North Fulton Community Charities’ Santa Shop! In the past 12 years, we have provided 3,100 bicycles, tricycles and scooters as holiday gifts for families in need. Please donate a bike today at any Alpharetta Fire Station through Dec. 1, or at a participating bike shop (see Bikes For Kids section of this web site).

Our Community made a Difference

iCan Shine is a national charitable nonprofit organization which conducts over 100, five-day iCan Bike programs in the U.S. iCan Bike teaches approximately 3,000 people with disabilities how to ride a two-wheeled bicycle each year. Since its inception in 2007, approximately 20,000 people with disabilities have learned to ride a bicycle through this wonderful program. Research shows that over 80% of people with Autism and 90% of people with Down syndrome never experience this thrill. Defying these odds is why we exist!

iCan Bike 2019 in Alpharetta will be July 22-26, hosted by The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety and The Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation.  The iCan Bike program was held at The Cooler Family Skate Center. Save the date as a volunteer or sponsor! If you know someone who would like to sponsor iCan Bike, email Officer Elfreth at aelfreth@alpharetta.ga.us
